'The Transcendent CEO' unveiled

“Thank you all!”. I can hardly contain my excitement as I kick off these lines and share my ideas and the invaluable lessons I've gathered over the years with you. It's been quite a journey, and the thought of connecting with all of you brings me joy and gratitude.

A substantial amount of time has passed since my active period as a writer for an audience. It was back in the years 2005-2007 when I was just an undergraduate student, full of curiosity and zeal. I embarked on this adventure alongside a group like-minded friends, altogether explored and discussed about Latin America, with special focus on Peru’s economic, social, and political landscape. Those were the days we breathed life into a magazine known as “Convergencia”, and for us it was a thrill to print 5,000 copies of it every quarter.

But here we are in the present moment, with The Transcendent CEO as my new canvas, offering me a fresh opportunity to engage with you, armed with over 16 years of learning and experience (and there's more to come). I'm excited to bring a new perspective on business and life to your virtual doorstep.

I was born in Peru, but the Asia-Pacific region has been always next to me. You can name it either for studies, international events, work or even to just discover it when travelling; all of them are ticked for me.

Singapore has been a home for me and my wife since 2021 and the photo you see is “Gardens by the Bay”. It is a fantastic architectural design that exhibits nature with artistic finesse. Every time I visit this place, I will reflect on how this country changed so rapidly with strong determination, empowerment, and political discipline.

If we understand the story on how Singapore is developing its present to sustain a remarkable future for its next generations, then the same logic implies as an individual. It took lots of breakthrough decisions to make our vision or objectives happen. Somehow, reorganizing (aka detaching) is an alternative to reset and to manage a new upcoming pathway. With the latter, that’s a lesson I appreciate from life: to accept its uncertainty and volatility as given and respond to it with a hand of personal and external capabilities.

For this newsletter, I hope to share with you different business-related topics that will go beyond traditional (rational) analysis on how to lead and manage a company. My willingness to contribute with my experience hopes to inspire you based on my successes and failures.

Due to my consulting background, my motivation to stretch mindsets is guaranteed. Adding some disruption and innovation within my lines will provoke discussion and exchange to grow together.

Also, as for the personal growth dimension, this one grants me lots of satisfaction because it is an art when learning how to deal with yourself and how to integrate others into the whole equation of reciprocity, cooperation and meaning. I hope with my insights you can leverage on how to propel an outstanding team, therefore, lasting organizations.

Meaning is what ignites me in both ways as a professional and individual: To create. To change. To contribute. To be happy. To transcend.
